Ingredients:
Quick cooking Oats – ½ cup
Vegetables – ½ cup (Carrot & peas)
Onion – 1 small chopped
Turmeric powder – pinch
Red Chilly powder – ½ tsp
All Spice Powder powder – 1 tsp
Coriander leaves – 1 tsp
Pepper powder – 1tsp
Water – 1 cup
Salt – as required
Method:
- In a nonstick pan, add onion and dry roast it until it shrinks, then add oats and roast it.
- Meanwhile, pressure cook the vegetables separately until softens and slightly mushy (I cook for 2 whistles). Now add water, cooked vegetables, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, all spice powder & salt to the oats. Let it cook on medium flame for 3 minutes until oats becomes soft. Add more water if required.
- Allow it to boil. If you want to mash vegetables you can. Cook for 2 more minutes until it reaches to the form of a porridge consistency. Remove from flame, then add chopped coriander leaves and black pepper powder,
- Garnish with raw onions, black pepper powder and coriander leaves and serve hot.
